Directions: Massage over dry areas as often as needed. Can be used after applying an AHA or BHA product. For daytime use, follow with the appropriate Paula’s Choice sunscreen. May be used on the face, including around the eye area. Do not use on eyelids. Beautiful Body Butter may be applied either before or after Super Antioxidant Concentrate.

Beautiful Body Butter advice:

Beautiful Body Butter is a versatile product. In addition to soothing dry skin on hands, elbows, knees, and feet, it can also be used as a cuticle cream, massaged into dry areas of the scalp, dabbed on as an eye cream (only if skin is very dry), and used as a soothing balm after shaving or waxing.

Beautiful Body Butter can be used with any Paula’s Choice product. Since it is a very emollient cream, we recommend applying it after using lighter weight products such as our AHA or BHA products, Blemish Fighting Solutions, or Skin Lightening Lotion or Gel.

Use Beautiful Body Butter immediately after toweling off from your bath or shower. It will seal in the remaining moisture on your skin and help prevent moisture loss for several hours.

Apply a thick layer of Beautiful Body Butter prior to sunscreen application when your skin will be exposed to extreme cold (such as a day spent skiing or ice-skating). Always apply sunscreen at least 20 minutes prior to sun exposure.

Beautiful Body Butter contains several plant oils and emollients whose composition is naturally close to the oil (sebum) our skin produces. Therefore, it is certainly capable of causing or exacerbating breakouts and is not recommended for use over blemish-prone areas.

For use on a dry, flaky scalp, use the supplied spatula to scoop out an amount the size of a nickel (use more if needed) and emulsify between your fingers until the butter texture softens. Massage into dry areas of the scalp for several minutes, and leave on overnight. Shampoo as usual in the morning.

For incredibly soft, ultra-smooth feet overnight, apply a thin layer of any of our Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) or Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA) products to clean feet. Follow with a generous application of Beautiful Body Butter, then apply a pair of clean cotton socks to prevent product from coming off on your sheets.

Note: If calluses or thickened, dry skin on the feet are a concern, BHA (salicylic acid) is preferred to AHA (glycolic acid) because of its enhanced ability to penetrate the skin.

Beautiful Body Butter is gentle enough to use on your baby’s skin, particularly for mild cases of eczema. As a precaution, do check with your pediatrician and get his or her approval before using any new skin-care product on your baby.
