CALM Redness Relief SPF 15 Mineral Moisturizer for Normal to Dry Skin

Based on 11 reviews
A mineral-based sunscreen that replenishes dry, sensitive skin with smoothing hydration while protecting it against damage from the sun.
  • Diminishes the appearance of redness
  • Helps keep skin looking younger, longer
  • Creamy lotion texture
  • Use as the last step in your AM skincare routine
Skin Types:
Sensitive Skin, Dry Skin
Skin Redness
Why is it different?
CALM Redness Relief SPF 15 Mineral Moisturizer Normal to Dry Skin combines the gentlest mineral-based sunscreen ingredients in a creamy advanced formula. You will have beautiful hydrated skin with the improved appearance of fine lines, dullness, and uneven skin tone. Sensitive skin will be comforted and cushioned with soothing emollients and a skin-enriching texture.
What does it do?
A redness-minimising mix of soothing plant extracts, antioxidants, and peptides work to calm sensitive skin so it looks visibly younger and feels healthier. With daily use, skin will become less prone to temporary redness and visible signs of sensitivity, and, most important, may help to lower the risk of premature skin ageing. The SPF 15 decreases the risk of skin cancer and early skin ageing caused by the sun if used as directed with other sun protection measures. Gentle enough even for skin prone to rosacea.
How to use

Use as the last step in your AM skincare routine. Apply liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure. If you don’t apply liberally, you will need to reapply every two hours after your skin is exposed to direct sunlight. If you plan to swim or perspire you must apply a water-resistant sunscreen.

Nice light weight day cream

This light weight day moisturizer keeps my skin hydrated all day. Works well under make up too. I would like it to have a higher SPF but still is a good product.

Just right

This is now my new favourite sunscreen. I was using the Skin Recovery one which is amazing, but I decided to try the Redness Relief Sunscreen and I'm glad I did. It spreads across the face beautifully and has the perfect creamy texture that just glides over the skin. It that isn't thick and waxy, nor is it too thin. It's just right and keeps the skin moisturised, hydrated and plump. I can put this over my eczema and break out prone areas with no problems or irritation. It makes my skin look so radiant and hydrated throughout the day, I can just go foundation free.

My favourite Paula's Choice sunscreen moisturiser

I have used several PC facial sunscreens and this one has been my absolute favourite. Even though it's only SPF15, I find the sun protection very good and much better than the others. This product has a nice texture too. Will definitely purchase again.

What a gem! :)

I've tried my fair share of PC's sunscreens from different lines (RESIST Super-Light Wrinkle Defense SPF 30, RESIST Youth-Extending Daily Hydrating Fluid SPF 15, HYDRALIGHT Shine-Free Mineral Complex SPF 15, EXTRA CARE Non-Greasy Sunscreen SPF 15) some are good, others more on the average side. However, this CALM SPF 15 Moisturizer has happily taken the lead and overthrown my long standing favorite the RESIST Super-Light Wrinkle Defense SPF 30. A bit surprising considering my skin type tends to be oily. Although the SPF rating is lower, I just love the consistency of this sunscreen. It's so smooth and buttery, it glides effortlessly when applied and leaves my skin hydrated and balanced, not sticky or greasy at all. This newest find has earned holy grail status on my book!

First sunscreen that works for my super sensitive skin

I've been using this SPF moisturizer for about 6 months now and I'm so happy with it. I have to disagree with the last review. I'm so glad PC started this product range because I was one of those people where none of the other moisturizers with SPF or without were working for my face. This is literally the only product range that does not make my face break out, react with rashes and dry painful spots or just a very uncomfortable feeling on the skin with a burning sensation. I'm so relieved this product range was introduced. I have very dry, very sensitive skin and react to most products in various ways. I have not reacted in any way to this product, it's fairly lightweight for a sunscreen and doesn't leave a white residue on the skin. I do have to powder over it so my face isn't as shiny but that's an easy fix. It moisturizes well and I'm fine throughout the day until I do my more intensive routine at night. Very happy with it!

I have been using and loving pc products for about a year now but had not found my perfect sunscreen until now. Other pc sunscreens were ok but not moisturing enough, too greasy for under makeup or white cast. This is perfect! No white cast, no greasiness. Perfect amount of hydration for my 53 yo winter skin. Love it

Just what I was looking for!

I've had to review my skin care routine recently, as I've just moved interstate and my skin is behaving very differently since. My skin has been very sensitive and dry with eczema-like patches - a totally new experience for me. I stripped my routine back to absolute basics, but none of my usual range of daytime moisturisers are really working for me right now (i use each of the three Resist ones, and sometimes the makeup tinted moisturiser, depending on what I need from day to day). So I thought I'd try this. It's great! And I'm so happy! It's light yet suitably emollient, no white cast despite a heavy application (always a bonus), and very gentle and soothing on my poor super-reactive skin. Not even a hint of stinging or discomfort even on peeling/broken areas; my skin hasn't felt this healthy for weeks. My skin just acted normal today after using it, whereas the other formulas are currently heightening my skin irritations. It has now been 15 hours since application and my skin has felt fine all day - just the right amount of hydration. My very dry/broken areas are behaving more normally and I can't believe that this product caused absolutely zero irritation! (Admittedly, one of the reasons I use such a variety of SPF moisturisers is that my skin has always been a little sensitive to them, and rotating products with different actives has generally been best for me). Thank you Paula for such a great SPF option. I've never used a sunscreen product that has felt as comfortable as this one!

Just wish it was SPF30!

I do love this product. I find the texture lovely compared to other physical sunscreens and I love that it actually moisturises! Sunscreens normally dry me out by the end of the day, and my makeup usually starts to look flaky. I just WISH this was SPF30. It would be my go-to every day until the end of time. As a daily sunscreen, I just feel it doesn't make the cut.

The product is incredibly runny so as soon as you open the cap it begins to spill out over the top making it very hard to distribute the amount you need. Please convert this and your other sunscreens to a pump bottle! I honestly don't know why you haven't done so already when plenty of your moisturizers and serums now have this packaging. I will be going back to another brand until Paula's Choice resolves this issue.

Doesn't reduce redness

Not suitable for dry skin and not effective at reducing redness. I really feel that this whole range is useless and do not understand why PC thought it was necessary to add another range when the Skin Recovery range is far more suitable for dry skin with redness. None of the products in this range are suitable for dry, red or sensitive skin. Disappointed with the textures which are more suited to normal or slightly dry skin.
