I was very frustrated because everything I was putting on my face was irritating it, UNTIL I REPAIRED MY SKIN BARRIER. I have a feeling that a lot of the people that have had irritation from paulas products may have to look into the fact they have damaged their barrier, unless of course they haven't and they have sensitivities to certain ingredients ect. Because when you fix it you start to see the magic paulas skincare can do for you...My skin was always tight, dry and irritated, so I think I was getting confused and blaming certain products for irritating it further, yet it was the fact that my barrier was damaged.. Now it's repaired I can use every one of paulas products (except the oil reducing mask) without any irritation... I am now seeing all the benefits that this wonderful skincare line has to offer.. But I really must stress, Google Damaged skin barrier.. I had no idea what was going on and was very frustrated, I thought my skin type had turned to dry rosacea prone skin, because my cheeks were so parched and dry I thought they would crack and yet I still had blackheads and breakouts, I was so confused. Once I repaired my barrier, I purchased samples of the whole calm normal to oily skincare line and wow unbelievable.. Now I have ordered the kit.. I think the majority of people's issues stem from a damaged skin barrier and I cannot stress enough that if you don't repair it, you will never have ay success with any products.

Works GREAT for my rosacea + Central Sensitivity Disorder -affected Extreme Combination Skin :-) Only caveat: if, like me, you have "porcelain" (extremely pale) skin, you'll probably only want to use this before bed. This product has an extremely light yellow/orange tint, which actually shows up on my skin! (It makes me look a bit "off" or "unwell".)

The only toner that seems to work for me is the skin recovery toner and this one - I like this one as it is a little thicker and therefore a bit more moisturising than skin recovery

I have very sensitive skin around my eyes and I've tried the skin balancing and hydra light toner both which made the skin around the area sting. Not this one! This instantly calms my skin - I can visibly see redness go away and after 2 weeks of use the tone and feel of my skin has definitely improved.

I'm here to increase the rating on this product. This product has, over time, significantly improved my oily and rosacea-ridden skin. Paula's whole CALM line is excellent, but I think people get frustrated with it because it fails to deliver significant change quickly, and perhaps people are very attached emotionally to the old Hydralight line. I always felt Hydralight met my needs, but never surpassed them. (I intermittently used the Hydralight cleanser, toner, and moisturizers over the last few years, but only really liked the sunscreen, although I didn't LOVE it.) However each CALM product I've used has delivered healthier, less oily, less irritated skin over weeks of using them. I am on a major budget and can basically only use one product at a time, and chose to buy this one because I wanted something to remove every last trace of dirt/makeup at the end of the day. I am very happy with how much softer and less oily my skin has become over the month I've used it.

I bought the Calm line for Oily skin. I am combination. This toner is light, gentle and soothing. It doesn't sting. I applied the Calm serum and the Calm Moisturizer for N/O skin after. My face feels soft, balanced, and calm. I really like this little line for sensitive skin. Very nice.

I love this toner! I was using a different toner from Paula as well but I tried this and love it way more! I need something that cleans my skin and doesn't cause me to breakout while still making sure my skin doesn't get dry, red, and irritated. This is amazing! My skin felt clean but not tight and so calm, not irritating at all. I love this toner! I also needed something oil free since anything with oil (even if its non comogenic) still breaks me out bad.

This product is great for my sensitive combination skin. Unlike some products, Paula's Choice calm toner leaves the skin feeling refreshed without greasey,clean without blocking pores and smells slightly earthy - which is a nice change from a majority of products on the market.

I use this toner daily in am and pm. I use RX trentinoin in PM and RX glycolic acid serum with l-ascorbic acid during the day. (Followed by SPF 30) My skincare regimen is aggressive and I have tried everything from every line!!! I mean EVERYTHING! I spare no expense when it comes to my skin and I am very appreciative of my successful career which allows me to splurge but hands down this Toner is superb! I ordered 3 bottles after using the first bottle for 3 days. For the love of God please don't discontinue this or change anything! I will have no choice but to seek custom compounding from my local pharmacy! In fact, in the event that you do decide to discontinue this product, I will purchase any remaining stock you have!
