Additional Information

Why is it different?
This 100% irritant-free toner leaves even the most sensitive skin calmed, revitalised and free of traces of makeup left after cleansing. With its lightweight formula, it can also help to balance combination or oily skin while delivering just the right amount of hydration.
What does it do?
Powerful anti-irritants like willow herb extract soothe redness and inflammation. Green tea and grape seed extracts act as natural antioxidants to fortify skin’s protective barrier against daily environmental stress like pollution.
How to use
After cleansing, apply toner to a cotton pad and gently stroke over face and neck. Do not rinse. Follow with the rest of your morning or evening skincare routine. For daytime, finish with a broad-spectrum sunscreen rated SPF 30 or greater.

Ratings & Reviews

I received this as a sample when I purchased my usual products. While I found the smell most pleasant, I didn't like the subtle tingling feeling on the more sensitive areas of my face. Apart from that, the product was fine.

Very good

I really like this toner, it made my skin feel so refreshed and it looked really soft and glowy :)

Love love love!

I've always been skeptical towards toners as the ones I've used in the past have done nothing but irritate & burn my skin but I thought I'd grab a couple of samples of this product just to give toners another shot & I'm stoked that I did. I have oily/combo/sensitive skin & am susceptible to redness from the slightest touch. I've already found that this toner isn't harsh & doesn't leave my skin burning/tingling. It takes away the redness straight away & gives a clean/fresh feeling!

Hello old friend!

I used this toner with the matching cleanser back when the product line launched. I have used newer PC products over the years but decided to go old school and glad I did. This toner lightly hydrates, leaves my slightly dry skin feeling smooth and removes any last traces of whatever my cleanser missed. Feels great after a shave. Paired with the Hydralight cleanser and new Resist 2% BHA Pore Refining Treatment (mixed with the 15% vitamin C) my already good skin looks even better.

Wanted to love it but it burns my face

I love the Hydralight One Step Face Cleanser but I cannot use the Hydralight Toner -- it burns when I apply it after washing my face. Still on the lookout for the right toner for me.

Wonderfully balanced product

I live in humid, hot South Florida and even though I am now 58 and so obviously dealing with aging issues, my skin is still oily and prone to breakouts. I used to use toners with high alcohol content, but Paula advises again this. I have tried many alcohol-free toners but none have worked for me with the exception of Hydralight toner. My skin feels cleansed without the additional build up that often accompanies other toners (including Paula's Skin Balancing Toner by the way). A great product!

Tingling Sensation

The antioxidants in this toner looks good. However, my face tingles when I apply this all over my combination, acne prone face. It burns a little in the beginning and then slowly fades away.

Slightly Irritating

I've tried this product out for 2 months. When I first used it it burned. I decided to continue to use it and it lessened to a tingle the longer I used it. I don't see any improvement in terms of the feel of my skin.

Too drying

I've been using this toner for a few weeks but am finding it to be too drying. The Skin Balancing toner does a better job at eliminating dry skin, so I'll be switching over.

Makes my face hot & tingles

I think this is a good product but I do find that it makes my combination skin which can occasionally have a sensitivity to a certain product feel hot and tingle. However I don't find this to be uncomfortable and when putting on the BHA 2% gel afterwards there is no problem and the tingle completely stops. Not sure why this product causes the tingle. Overall my skin is looking and feeling a lot better since I started using the PC products.
