Experienced a reaction when this came back

When I discovered PC a couple years ago, this quickly became my HG product - it was the perfect moisturiser for my extremely finicky, acne-prone combination skin. I actually liked the smell, too. Then it got discontinued and resurrected after, no doubt, a stream of customer demands. Delighted, I immediately purchased a full bottle as soon as it came back - but weirdly, my skin suddenly hated it, I experienced redness and stinging after every application even though it had been less than a year since finishing my previous tube! I ended up returning the product as I simply couldn't use it. Customer service reassured me that the formula hasn't changed at all, so maybe it was a strange batch, or maybe, as I was told, "my skin had changed" but... yeah. It's been months and I am still really sad over this experience, as none of the other PC moisturisers have worked out for me at all. However, apart from my own bizarre reaction, I would still recommend this product (although trying a sample is a must) - it's hands down the best moisturiser I have ever used!

This has been my go-to moisturiser in my routine ever since I discovered Paula's Choice almost 10 years ago. It is so lightweight, yet ultra hydrating, and doesn't irritate my skin or break me out. While this was discontinued I used the Earth Sourced moisturiser, which is close, but just not the same. Thank you so much for bringing back this product because nothing compares!

Comments about Hydralight Lotion - 60 ml:

I really wanted to like this product, and hoped it would help my oily breakout-prone skin. But it just didn't do it for me.
          1. The bottle it comes in lets the moisturizer "leaks" in the lid, so it's messy.
          2. The smell is bad, I couldn't get used to that
          3. It left a greasy residue o my skin
          4. When I used it with by PC benzoyl peroxide, it would give a burning sensation to my skin

It simply didn't suit my skin at all :/

Comments about Hydralight Lotion - 60 ml:

I use this product every night. I have found it great for my sesitive skin and leaves my skin feeling soft and non greasy. My bottle is nearly empty and although I did like this product I have decided to order the skin recovery moisturiser this time as I felt at times I could use just that little bit more moisture.

Comments about Hydralight Lotion - 60 ml:

This is perfect, it fulfils my personal preference for lotions because I feel like they're usually more moisturising and hydrating for longer (although haven't really tried many serums etc. until lately). It's also light enough for my skin type therefore not greasy or causing my skin to appear greasy. It absorbs well for a lotion too.

Comments about Hydralight Lotion - 60 ml:

This is a very light moisturiser that absorbs very well into my skin. Best use during summer as it doesn't feel sticky and heavy-since i normally apply another layer of SPF on top.
It has a particular smell on first use..but i got used to it.
Towards finishing the product, I had to shake the moisturiser before using to mix the liquid/oil with cream. I have used this moisturiser before but I dont recall the need to do back then.

Comments about Hydralight Lotion - 60 ml:

Although I really wanted to love this, it seems to sting and irritate my skin whenever I apply it. Since I had over-exfoliated my skin and I wanted something to calm it down, I decided to switch to this moisturiser rather than my usual Skin Balancing Invisible Finish Moisture Gel, and surprisingly the gel seems to be better at calming. Although it has good moisturising properties, it didn't soothe my skin as promised. I guess everyone's skin is different.

Comments about Hydralight Lotion - 60 ml:

Fantastic moisturiser for acne-prone skin. Soothes inflammation related to breakouts and hydrates without skin feeling 'clogged'. The finish is neither matte nor shiny but I have no qualms about wearing it in the evening. It didn't receive five stars is because at the very end of my first tube, separation occurred. I remedy this by shaking the bottle before each use but it should have directions on the packaging. Highly recommended.

Comments about Hydralight Lotion - 60 ml:

I brought this moisturiser after emailing Paula's choice and asking for advice about my skincare concerns. I wanted a product that would help with fine lines and not irritate my very sensitive skin. While this product didn't irritate it definitely did nothing for my lines which is disappointing.
