Additional Information

Why is it different?
RESIST Flawless Finish Pressed Powder has an exquisite silky texture that floats over wrinkles and fine lines without settling into them, creating a flawless, even appearance. A custom-designed brush with super-soft, synthetic bristles is included.
What does it do?
Perfects and refines skin’s appearance so it looks and feels smoother, softer, and younger with a hint of neutral colour. Provides light, buildable coverage and a natural-looking, refined finish that improves the look of large pores yet won’t make skin look dry or caked.
How to use

For brush application, pick up some powder on the full end of the brush, knock off the excess, and brush it on in a smooth, downward direction. May be applied with a makeup sponge for more coverage; wet application is not recommended.

I quite like this powder

I quite like this powder it looks fairly seamless on my skin. The colour that seems to best suit me is the fair/light. I bought the light/medium when fair/light was not available and it has a kind of yellow tinge, so I'm assume it's for warm skin tones? I think PC should state whether the product is for warm, cool or neutral tones. When I first used this product it seemed quite a bit thicker than other powders I've used but I use a big brush now and am probably also use to it. I also think PC need a much larger range of tones suitable for brown and black skin not just white skin.

Paula's Choice skin care and make-up

I have been purchasing Paula's Choice skin care and make-up for over two decades and can see how much her products and services have changed over these years. As a huge dedicated Paula's Choice fan and devotee I am sad to say "it's not what it used to be". The face powder for example no longer has SPF. And all those gorgeous long stay matt lipsticks are gone (I do not want the cream / gloss lipsticks all over my coffee cups and man please !!!). Packaging overall is smaller and more expensive. Paula's Choice now has such a big confusing range of products, including eye creams and toners, all products she once told us "you don't need". Now I have been forced (sadly) to look elsewhere for some of my products. There was I time I bought EVERYTHING from Paula. If it wasn't Paula's Choice "I didn't trust it". This is no longer the case. However, I still buy some of Paula's products, for example the hair shampoo and conditioner. I am still a customer. But I really miss the amazing full range of brilliant products, that where simple to chose from, and excellent good value products. We did have it good for a long time. But unfortunately times have changed.

Lovely powder but missing the extra boost of spf

I do like this powder but really miss the suddenly discontinued spf powder Paula's used to make. I primarily liked the Healthy Finish pressed powder as it offered a bit of extra sun protection for my face and am going to have to find an alternative to that. I was really shocked that was discontinued as it seemed that sun protection was a cornerstone of Paula's Choice. I'll keep using this pretty powder as it's light and soft, until I find one with sunscreen.

Powder is too yellow

I used to use paulas other powder in buff beige but after being notified it had been discontinued I chose to try this powder in light-medium and did i regret it. What a waste of money, i was used to a natural looking powder that applied easily and was super light. This powder is not only yellow toned it also seems more difficult to apply with the useless applicator brush provided so you will need your own but even with my own brush the powder clumps on areas of my face and looks horrible. I would return the product but ive decided never to purchase paulas choice again because over the last 7 years i feel that the only product i was happy with they have now discontinued

A great addition to my beauty bag!

Very happy with how this powder feels on my face. It is not at all powdery and cakey! It blends on beautifully and gives my skin an even tone without looking too made up. It seems to have staying power too as I did not need to do any touch ups during the day. The powder is so light weight and does not extenuate any fine lines. Overall I am very happy with this product. I usually use a liquid foundation but think I will stick to this product now I have found it. I'm 30 years old but like the added addition of it being part of the Resist range so I know it is only doing good to my skin.

On my essentials list

Love this product. Goes on great for a lovely finish and teamed with the blush collection makes me feel younger looking (I'm 65). I just use it over my Resist Light Moisturiser, but my skin is not too bad considering age and living in Australia all my life - have used sun protection for a long time. If you skin is badly damaged you might need to use additional products.
