Additional Information

Why is it different?
SKIN RECOVERY Daily Moisturizing Lotion SPF 15 goes above and beyond what other daytime moisturisers provide. This creamy formula replenishes dry skin for a younger-looking appearance while helping to protect from sun damage and early skin ageing. It has an abundant mix of potent antioxidants, skin-restoring ceramides, and anti-ageing peptides to visibly smooth fine lines and wrinkles while adding a satin glow for skin that looks younger. Works beautifully under makeup.

What does it do?
Helps defend against signs of environmental assault and essential for restoring and improving a youthful-looking radiance. The pure mineral zinc oxide sunscreen is a significant benefit as it decreases the risk of skin cancer and early skin aging caused by the sun if used as directed with other sun protection measures. Formulated to be gentle enough for sensitive skin, including skin prone to rosacea and eczema.

How to use
Use as the last step in your AM skincare routine. Apply liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure. If you don’t apply liberally, you will need to reapply every two hours after your skin is exposed to direct sunlight. If you plan to swim or perspire you must apply a water-resistant sunscreen.

Not moisturizing enough for me

3

This moisturizer has mineral sunscreens in it, which my skin MUCH prefers over chemical/synthetic sunscreens. However, this was not moisturizing enough for my skin. I imagine I will like this again in the summer, but it is not moisturizing enough for Chicago winters. About 45 minutes after applying, my skin is dry and patchy.

Great product

It's a great product, would be nice if it has a SPF 30 option for people who live in Aussie/NZ... Initially there's a white cast (as expected), and it goes away after a minute or so. Would be nice if there's a bigger packaging as well, the tiny tube doesn't last very long.

Love but sunscreen not effective

2

This SPF 30 moisturizer/sunscreen is wonderful on my skin. I've been using it for over 2 years. Unfortunately, I've developed some age spots on my face and a tan line on my neck while using it. I noticed this the first year using it, so this past year I've really put it on thickly but the same results. I do not spend time in the sun, so this is just from being in the house and running errands. I've had skin cancers, so this less than adequate protection is a concern to me. Previously for years I used Skinceuticals Physical Defense Sunscreen on my face and neck and never had these problems. I've read in Consumer Reports that many sunscreens don't measure up to their stated SPF, so I'm wondering if the U.S. lab measuring techniques aren't precise enough and this has affected this wonderful moisturizer/sunscreen from Paula. It seems more like an SPF 15 or 20 to me--I'm 71 and have had many years of sunscreen experience! I use Paula's products, and I wish the company had this sunscreen in a higher SPF to compensate for any lacks in the U.S. SPF measuring system and for people trying to prevent skin cancer. I'd recommend this but not for someone who needs SPF 30 or higher for extra protection. Paula does not yet have a high SPF moisturizer / physical sunscreen for sensitive rosacea dry skin, which is surprising considering the company's mission of providing products for problematic skin and especially considering the vast expansion of their products line.

Good, not great.

I like, but don't love it. Waiting for the Resist SPF replacement moisturiser. At first it has a whitish cast, like all physical sunscreens, but this does disappear quickly. It is not moisturising enough for me (63 with thirsty skin) It does not irritate my eyes at all, which is great. I just need a more emollient product with SPF, but this is a good product.

Does not compare!

1

I've been using Paula's Choice for about 15 years. I like most of her products and recommend to friend to give PC a try. This moisturizer with sunscreen does not compare to Cellular Defense SPF 25. Nothing does. Not sure what Paula's Choice did to offend the supplier of the proprietary ingredients for the Cellular Defense...but they need to make amends and start making the Cellular Defense again. This product is NOT a good replacement as recommended by PC.

GREAT PRODUCT

4

I've been using Paula's products for about 10 years now. Every once in awhile I decide to try a different brand product, but always end up coming back to Paula! Speaks for itself! I just received this product today and immediately applied it to my face and neck. I love that it has an SPF of 30 because most sunscreens burn when I apply. The only issue I have is the smell! It's not a terrible smell, just an unpleasant one! Not bad enough for me to stop using though!!

Great for redness

4

I actually loved this, and would highly recommend it for sensitive skin that is prone to redness. I found this to be soothing and helped to even out my skin tone. I removed one star because this wasn't tenacious enough for the very hot & humid climate I reside in but others who are not in an equatorial region might be fine.

No Substitute for Cellular Defense

2

I purchased this product because Cellular Defense SPF 25 was no longer being made, and this was recommended as a substitute. I don't like it. I feel like I'm just wearing straight sunscreen: the lotion is tacky to the touch, I don't feel moisturized, and my foundation does not go on as smoothly as before. I look forward to trying whatever day cream is developed to replace Cellular Defense.

Perfect for me

5

I love this product. It is a bit greasy at first so I let it sit for a couple minutes before applying makeup, but after that my skin feels wonderful all day! If I need to reapply, it goes over my makeup really well too which was a great surprise. I have sensitive skin, especially around my eyes and it causes no irritation.
