Niacinamide FAQs

Have questions about Niacinamide? We’ve got you covered!

How long does niacinamide take to work?

Generally, you should start seeing results after 2 - 4 weeks of twice daily niacinamide usage (depending on the severity of your skin concerns and how concentrated your niacinamide product is). Ongoing use is required for continued improvement and maintaining results.

Results will continue to improve over time but do not expect your skin to be completely “poreless”—that isn’t possible for any skin care product (not to mention, your skin needs its pores for many vital functions). What you can expect is pores that look smaller, skin tone that looks more even, visibly reduced fine lines and wrinkles, and an overall healthier glow.

How to shop for niacinamide skin care

When shopping for niacinamide skin care, you should choose products with textures that are suitable for your skin type.

If you have dry skin, you’ll love our ultra-rich face cream with niacinamide and hydrating toner while those with oily or combination skin will love the lightweight textures of an oil-free moisturiser and pore-reducing toner with niacinamide.

Regardless of your skin type or concerns, when shopping for niacinamide skin care products, always avoid sensitising ingredients such as drying denatured alcohol, volatile essential oils and natural or synthetic fragrance.

What types of skin care products contain niacinamide?

Niacinamide products come in various textures and concentrations. You can generally find niacinamide toners, hydrating moisturisers, antioxidant serums and anti-ageing boosters.

The best niacinamide products have well-rounded formulas with other skin-beneficial ingredients including moisturising emollients, other antioxidants, and replenishing and restoring ingredients.

Research shows that even low concentrations of niacinamide, as low as 0.5%, can benefit skin, but we offer products with 5% niacinamide, 10% and even our first-of-its-kind 20% niacinamide.

Niacinamide is beneficial for all skin types and most concerns, so you can also layer multiple niacinamide products as you see fit in order from thinnest to thickest texture for ultimate visible benefits.
