How To Use

STEP 2: TONE & REPLENISH NUTRIENTS

FAQs

What does this Paula’s Choice toner do?

Paula’s Choice RESIST Advanced Replenishing Toner refreshes and moisturises skin after cleansing. It keeps skin soft, smooth and youthful looking with a plumping blend of hyaluronic acid, fatty acids and antioxidants.

Do I need to use a toner?

Toners can be a great after-cleansing step to rehydrate skin and ensure you’ve removed all traces of makeup. This well-formulated toner benefits skin by soothing, visibly reducing redness and hydrating. Not to mention, this toner is another leave-on source for antioxidants and other anti-ageing ingredients that improve skin’s overall health.

Which Paula’s Choice toner for dry skin should I use?

RESIST Advanced Replenishing Toner is a great option if you have normal to dry or very dry skin with signs of ageing, although we do carry a few other toners for dry skin that you can explore.

What makes this a good toner for ageing skin?

This toner contains many skin-restoring ingredients, antioxidants and replenishing omega fatty acids, all of which preserve skin’s barrier and soften the look of fine lines and wrinkles.

Should you apply toner with your hands or cotton pads?

You can apply toner with cotton pads or your hands; it’s all about personal preference.

Is toning the same as exfoliating?

Toning and exfoliating are not the same thing. Toners and exfoliants are two different types of products, so you should apply toner first for hydrating benefits, then exfoliate after to slough off dead skin cells.

What is the pH of Paula’s Choice RESIST Advanced Replenishing Toner?

The pH of this toner is between 5-6.

Is this Paula’s Choice toner alcohol free?

Yes, Paula’s Choice Advanced Replenishing Toner is alcohol-free. It does not contain denatured alcohol or other alcohols that may cause dryness or irritation.

    depends on your skin type

I have quite acne prone skin, this made my skin look nice and dewy/healthy which i loved however i found i did have small breakout from it and stopped using.

My mum started using it, and she absolutely loves it, makes her skin looks very healthy and moisturised and works really well for her!

    Milky & Luscious

This is one for those heading into peri-menopause or after, or anyone who finds their skin no longer has that same natural moisture of our youth! For years PC's RESIST Weightless Advanced Repairing was my go-to toner, for that post cleanse restoration feel; in my late 40s, I realised I now needed something more nourishing (a bit like conditioner after shampoo.) A lifetime of "on the oily side" made me wary of anything meant for "dry" skin, but trying this one (essentially a milky essence rather than an absorbent toner) made me a convert.

Recommended: For anyone feeling like they need a bit of replenishing post-cleanse -pre-treatment/serums, and anyone who's finding their old routines are a bit harsh for older, previously oily skin. Legit "nourishing" feel.

    Very drying on the skin

Noticed that my skin felt tight after application. The cheek area was especially dry and irritated the next morning.

    Liquid gold

I received this product free during a promotion several months ago and forgot all about it until 2 weeks ago. The difference it has made in my skin during that time is incredible. My skin texture has improved dramatically, it's so soft! It's also far less irritated and it doesn't seem to have flared up my existing acne. So happy!
