I have very fair oily skin and products do not absorb or sink in well on my face. I also live in Far North Queensland where it is ridiculously hot and humid and I have to wear SPF 50 every day. Applying foundation over the top of sunscreen is a nightmare because of the oily mess that sunscreen creates on my face. I have tried tens and tens and tens of different primers. None worked. They left a slimy silicone feel to my skin, caused pilling or just added to the already greasy face effect. Until this! OMG quite honestly a miracle product. It leaves my skin feeling dry and matte and makes foundation easy to apply over the top. The trick is it must be patted on, not rubbed in! Also allow a couple of minutes for it to dry down. Having trawled the earth for a workable primer please don't ever discontinue this!! My only gripe, and it is a big one, is the packaging and dispensing mechanism. It quickly becomes impossible to get product out of the tube when it is still largely full. I have to cut open the tube, scoop it out and decant it into another container which is annoyingly disappointing. There is typically still about half the tube left when I get to the point of having to cut it open and at the high price point I can't afford to waste it. I've still given 5 stars as the product itself is amazing but please improve the packaging - a pump dispenser would be awesome?

I had heard the hype around this product and believe me, it completely lives up to it! After having kids, my skin changed from combination to oily and I would have to reapply powder to take off that frustrating shine multiple times a day. With this product, I apply once and it lasts me for the whole working day. Cannot recommend highly enough! Already planning to stock up :) 10/10

It's works very well and definitely does a great job of reducing shine, although I can't see much difference for pores. Perhaps the effect would be maximised if I utilise a proper loose powder application with a brush instead of relying on a dinky sponge... Something to consider. Eitherway, Paula's Choice's Shinestopper is definitely worth your money. If you're looking for a quality matte primer that wouldn't incentise your sensitive skin.

Honestly just doesn't do anything. makes make up look casket and textured. often pills. I wrote another review and it was never published..... disappointed with this as usually love PC products.

Was hoping this would be the primer for me.some thing that kept shine away throughout most of the day… it doesn't. In fact I did a side by side and the side with the primer appeared more oily by the end of the day. Disappointed usually love PC products.
