SHINE STOPPER Instant Matte Finish has an oil-absorbing formula that works quickly to keep oily skin shine-free. Its unique MICROSPONGE® Technology works invisibly to keep oily shine in check while minimising the appearance of pores.
The weightless formula dries to a soft, powder-like finish that smooths out skin imperfections. Can be worn alone or under makeup to help it stay in place all day long. Dab a tiny bit on during the day to maintain results.
How To Use

Dispense a pea-sized amount and using clean fingers or a foundation sponge, dab (do not rub) lightly over oily areas as the last step of your skincare routine or over your foundation. If you wish to apply powder or blush over SHINE STOPPER, let SHINE STOPPER set completely first. Reapply as needed.

    Excellent Mattifier

    The best product to eliminate greasy sheen for all oily or combo skin. It works immediately and lasts all day. Somehow, even though it controls oily shine, it doesn’t dry out your skin. It’s an absolute must-have that I never want to be without.

    My secret for blurred, velvet skin

    I'm 51 and had a decent crack at the dewy / glass skin look but didn't like the emphasis it had on my fine lines. I then rediscovered my old Shine Stopper matte finish tube, which was half-finished and lurking in my makeup drawer. I applied it over my skincare & SPF and realised what it was I was really looking for....blurred effect & smooth, velvet finish skin. I started using this again daily, and it takes away ALL of my shine (I've oily skin, which is exacerbated by SPF) . All day long I have soft, non-oily skin and it looks incredible. Over the top of this product I use a blurring powder and the combination of these two, completely smooths out all my fine lines and uneven tone. I re-purchased a tube of this to make sure I don't run out.

    Can't live without!

    I have started leaving reviews on all my favourite Paula's choice products because I'm actually terrified they will get discontinued. For years I searched for products to keep my oily skin at bay but since finding this, I have not looked any where else. As the last step in my routine, I just apply a few dots around my t-zone and gently pat it into the skin and it controls the oil all day! I have it on auto-replenishment because I'll never stop using it, and its cheaper that way.

    Holy grail of primers

    I have very fair oily skin and products do not absorb or sink in well on my face. I also live in Far North Queensland where it is ridiculously hot and humid and I have to wear SPF 50 every day. Applying foundation over the top of sunscreen is a nightmare because of the oily mess that sunscreen creates on my face. I have tried tens and tens and tens of different primers. None worked. They left a slimy silicone feel to my skin, caused pilling or just added to the already greasy face effect. Until this! OMG quite honestly a miracle product. It leaves my skin feeling dry and matte and makes foundation easy to apply over the top. The trick is it must be patted on, not rubbed in! Also allow a couple of minutes for it to dry down. Having trawled the earth for a workable primer please don't ever discontinue this!! My only gripe, and it is a big one, is the packaging and dispensing mechanism. It quickly becomes impossible to get product out of the tube when it is still largely full. I have to cut open the tube, scoop it out and decant it into another container which is annoyingly disappointing. There is typically still about half the tube left when I get to the point of having to cut it open and at the high price point I can't afford to waste it. I've still given 5 stars as the product itself is amazing but please improve the packaging - a pump dispenser would be awesome?

    Game changer!

    I had heard the hype around this product and believe me, it completely lives up to it! After having kids, my skin changed from combination to oily and I would have to reapply powder to take off that frustrating shine multiple times a day. With this product, I apply once and it lasts me for the whole working day. Cannot recommend highly enough! Already planning to stock up :) 10/10
