SKIN BALANCING Ultra-Sheer Daily Defense SPF 15 feels wonderfully light, but its broad-spectrum, oil-absorbing formula gives skin a nourishing supply of antioxidants to diminish the appearance of wrinkles and uneven skin tone and to smooth away dryness for younger-looking skin! It is the perfect option to help prevent premature ageing of skin.
What does it do?
Provides trusted protection from the ageing rays of the sun while offering weightless, healthy hydration and a matte finish that helps keep excess shine in check. Meanwhile, an exclusive blend of skin-restoring ingredients and research-proven antioxidants work to help prevent the appearance of signs of ageing.
How to use
Use as the last step in your AM skincare routine. Apply liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure. If you don’t apply liberally, you will need to reapply every two hours after your skin is exposed to direct sunlight. If you plan to swim or perspire you must apply a water-resistant sunscreen.

Works so great!

I would suggest this for anyone who has combination/oily/normal skin, but not dry skin. It probably isn't quite enough moisture for anyone with really dry skin. I have oily and dry spots, and this works great! It does a fantastic job as a sunscreen and since I started using Paula's Choice 4 years ago, this has prevented me for all sun damage on my face. It also does a great job at minimizing my pores!

Best Anti-Ager Ever

I've been using this ever since it came out (ten years ago? I'm just guessing), along with the DESERVEDLY bestselling 2% BHA liquid. The two work so well that people are shocked to hear I'm 50 years old; they say, "I would have thought early 30s." And, every once in a while, I still get carded.

OMG, The first Four Ingredients in this product are not good for you at all. These are chemical ingredients, not good for your skin. All you have to do is look up which ingredients to stay away from in sunscreens, and those ingredients pop up along with a few others. They talk about their products being good, not so good Paula a lot of your products have bad ingredients. Look it up self people and you will see.

Less than great, especially for the price

To me this has the consistency and smell of an expired product. It is excessively runny and smells bad. I think it works okay under make-up, but I would not buy it again or recommend it to anyone else.

Good moisturiser, terrible sunscreen, stings

Cannot recommend, for the price it is outrageous that it does not provide any noticeable defence against sun. During holiday (only 25 degrees C) managed to get burns on my forehead even though I reapplied every few hours and avoided direct sunlight! It also is the only sunscreen that occasionally stings and gives burning sensation. Super disappointed as I used it during the winter and had no idea what a bad protection it offered until I tried it in a different climate... I am very sad about the amount of sun damage I exposed myself using this for at least 4 months ..

BEST sunscreen I've ever used!

I have skin prone to eczema, and it is sometimes dry even when I don't have active eczema on my face. This sunscreen has been excellent for me, as it provides hydration, does not irritate my sensitive skin, soothes my skin, and looks very nice on! There is no white cast and it dries quickly. I have a subtle "glow" when I'm wearing this. Additionally, I feel like my skin looks nicer ever since I started using it! Not as much dryness and an overall supple, youthful appearance. I also use other Paula's Choice products, and I hope they'll never discontinue this! It works great under makeup as well.

Burned my face

I normally love Paula's choice creams, but this one caused my face to burn. I am returning it, but I have to pay for shipping!

I'll never stop buying this product as long as it's made.

Years ago, Paula published an article saying that sunscreen tests used huge amounts-as in a whole ounce of sunscreen spread out over face and body-to determine efficacy, and she asked the question, "Are any of us using enough?" Since then, I've been slathering on the sunscreen-and I'm on a fixed income, but that's how important skin care is to me. I have a history of facial acne, but either I've outgrown it or Paula's 2% BHA Liquid does the trick, because I RARELY have a blemish. When I do, I use Paula's Clear Daily Skin Clearing Treatment, 2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide, and it's gone within days. I wouldn't dream of going outside for even ten minutes without smearing sunscreen liberally onto my face. I'm not as diligent as I should be with arms and hands, but I'm trying to do better because I can see the difference: the skin of my arms is looser and more wrinkled than that on my face. If I had to live with two skincare products, I'd choose Skin Balancing Ultra-Sheer Daily SPF 30 and Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid. I might add something like SunCare Extra Care Non-Greasy Sunscreen SPF 50 for arms and legs. I just turned 50 years old, but people guess that I'm in my twenties or thirties-and, once in a while, I even get carded. . . . I always tell people I've been using a daily sunscreen and exfoliant for YEARS, which I get from Paula's Choice.

I tried all three Resist Sunscreens and was not happy...two made made me look pasty, and caused white bumps on my face, and the third was wonderful but gave me a red rash every time I used it. Then I tried this one. Perfect! At least for me. It glides on effortlessly over Skin Balancing Antioxidant Serum. Just a tiny hint of coverage, which is great because now that my complexion looks so much better from PC products, I don't bother with foundation any more, but makeup does slide on over this just fine (with serum underneath). This doesn't cause any rashes or make me break out. The coverage is matt. Hardly any shine. I had had problems with burning eyes with an earlier, different product I'd tried. With this, I don't have that problem. This is a lovely, light lotion, and I'm planning to stick with it. Highly recommended.

Great sunscreen if you *hate* the greasy sunscreen feeling

This is the only facial sunscreen i've used that leaves my combination skin feeling like there almost isn't anything there, that's the main reason I like this product. Rubs in well, though is quite runny so you have to watch to make sure it doesn't go in the eyes my mistake. Though you don't need to use a large amount of the product (because it spreads easily), it's a bit hefty of a price tag for me (i'm from outside the US). I only buy this sunscreen in this summer because of the price, when my skin is more moist and it's when i really need this product the most, and use a much cheaper, more heavy sunscreen in cold temperatures when i can use more moisture.
