Benefits

The electrolytes in this quenching formula work with natural hydrators to draw the right amount of moisture into skin and hold it there. A blend of natural antioxidants, ceramides, B vitamins and prebiotic sugars work throughout skin’s uppermost layers, optimising its ability to stay moisturised over time.

Mineral electrolytes calcium, potassium, and magnesium are linked with skin-identical PCA (pyrrolidone carboxylic acid, part of skin’s natural moisturizing factor), allowing them to work within skin’s water channels (aquaporins) to deliver vital hydrators like ceramides and glycerin. These enhanced minerals also train skin to maintain its moisture balance, strengthen its barrier, and create a healthier, more energized appearance.

How To Use

Once or twice daily, apply a small amount to face and neck. For daytime, always follow with a sunscreen.

The Water-Infusing Electrolyte Moisturizer is for all skin types, but it’s ideal if you’re dealing with dullness or dehydration and don’t like the feel of rich, creamy moisturisers. Its whipped, airy texture is like a burst of hydration for thirsty skin. It instantly replenishes skin’s water content above and below its surface with a completely weightless feel.

Is Paula’s Choice Water-Infusing Electrolyte Moisturizer good for sensitive skin?

Yes, the Water-Infusing Electrolyte Moisturizer is suitable for blemish-prone skin when used alongside anti-blemish products.

Can Paula’s Choice Water-Infusing Electrolyte Moisturizer be used around the eye area?

How is Paula’s Choice Water-Infusing Electrolyte Moisturizer different from your other moisturisers?

The primary differences between the Water-Infusing Electrolyte Moisturizer and our other moisturisers are the electrolytes it’s made with. These unique ingredients are a key to balancing dehydrated skin and offer a light, sensorial texture that’s still super hydrating. On application, this formula transforms into a burst of water that’s great for all skin types. As with all Paula's Choice moisturisers, this formula includes other beneficial ingredients including ceramides, algae and pollution-neutralising antioxidants.

What are electrolytes?

Electrolytes are minerals that are key to maintaining many of the body’s proper functions. Specific to skin care, the three most commonly used are potassium PCA, magnesium PCA and calcium PCA, each offering overlapping and unique benefits for helping keep skin feeling and looking healthy.

Do electrolytes help your skin?

Yes, applying electrolytes to skin helps keep it balanced, resulting in smoother, more hydrated and comfortable skin. Potassium PCA helps facilitate water pathways within skin, ensuring balanced hydration levels and plays a role in reinforcing skin’s barrier. Magnesium PCA also helps enhance hydration levels and visibly repairs skin, while also positively influencing how skin cells move through skin’s surface layers, how they shed and how skin responds to external stimuli. Calcium PCA influences how new skin cells are formed and how they move from the lower layer (dermis) to the surface (epidermis). It also helps replenish skin’s barrier and works as a humectant to draw and hold moisture in skin’s upper most layers.

    Sensitive and oily

So sad this moisturizer is leaving! It's the only one my sensitive oily skin doesn't react to or break out from. There are so few options out there for my skin type.

    The GOAT

    Literally the goldilocks

So hydrating, sinks in beautifully but skin stays hydrated. Excellent for sensitive skin. Hydrates all day and skin looks better and better with everyday use, I notice it so much when I run out and use other things. I love to try things, but this is the one I always come back to.

    Absolutely brilliant moisturiser

Hands-down the best moisturiser I've ever used. Makes my skin feel plumped and moisturised, reduces fine lines and just feels great. I love how it somehow feels rich and creamy yet lightweight and airy at the same time. This is a very soothing and hydrating moisturiser but never shiny or heavy, which suits me very well as a guy. I'm in my 40s with combination skin, sometimes verging on oily, and this is perfect for me - but I think it would suit any skin type. Thanks, Paula's Choice. Please don't ever discontinue this one!

    A great hydration booster

I have very dry, very dehydrated skin which is also highly sensitive. Regardless of the serum I apply, my skin always feels best when I apply this all over - it doesn't vanish, ie I can still feel it, and it helps calm my skin down if it's feeling at all irritated. On its on own it's not enough due my dryness. I have apply Ultra Rich Moisturiser over the top, to prevent the hydration from escaping. Then my skin feels just right, and it looks reasonable too.

Please create a larger sized container. I go through this ridiculously quickly, and it's the only product to bring instant calmness to my skin.

    Love this cream.

After reading the other reviews on the smell and that it's not hydrating enough I was really put off buying this cream, but I was determined to give it a go because it doesn't have shea butter in it and it's suitable for blemish prone skin.

AND IM SO GLAD I BOUGHT IT! It has a smell, but it's more like just a typical moisturiser smell.. 🤷🏻‍♀️

It is nice and thick but lightweight on the skin, I was worried it wouldn't be hydrating enough (I love a thick cream) but it ticks the boxes.

Very happy with this one, can't wait to see how my skin changes as I continue to use it. 😄
